At Edmund Rice Camps Auckland, the wellbeing and safety of every child, young person, volunteer, and member of our community is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to creating environments where all people are respected, protected, and supported to thrive.

We take a proactive approach to safeguarding by

• Upholding clear policies and procedures that reflect national safeguarding standards and our values.
• Carefully selecting and training all volunteers and staff, including police vetting and child protection training.
• Promoting a culture of openness, accountability, and care where concerns can be raised and addressed promptly.
• Placing the dignity, rights, and safety of children and vulnerable people at the centre of our decision-making.
